An Open Letter to the Honorable Committees on Agriculture

The failure to implement the provisions of the AFMA is the root cause of why the sector has failed to live up to its potential for our people.
The PhP284 Billion 2021 budget proposal of the DA is so huge an amount it cannot be left without a plan in accordance with the AFMA.

We ask that both committees, as part of their oversight function, require DA to comply with AFMA and ask for the plan, if any, upon which the budget proposal of PhP284 billion was based and whether or not consultation were conducted in accordance with the law.
